ABOUT BLACK FEMINIST PRAXIS
Built for Black Women and Femmes
Black Feminist Praxis is a creative and wellness-centered hub dedicated to Black feminist action. Rooted in Black feminist thought, we design spaces for collective care, knowledge-making, and restorative work that supports the flourishing of Black women and femmes.
We believe care and dreaming are not separate from action, they are what make liberation possible. Our work reflects this belief in how we gather, teach, write, and create.

01
Dreaming
Dreaming reminds us to use our radical imagination to create futures rooted in joy and possibility. Through writing retreats, creative dissemination, wellness practices, and book clubs, we cultivate spaces where Black women and femmes can envision new worlds and take steps toward building them.

02
Knowing
Knowing affirms that knowledge lives in our bodies, our communities, and our stories. We encourage Black women and femmes to transform their lived experiences and scholarship into resources that inform, heal, and inspire.

03
Being
Being centers authenticity and presence. We create spaces where Black women and femmes can show up as their full selves, engage in rest and wellness. We affirm that wholeness and ease are necessary foundations for liberation.

Look closely at the present you are constructing. It should look like the future you are dreaming.

Who We Hold Space For
The Scholar Who’s Over-Proving
You’re producing, publishing, and pushing, but you’re also deeply exhausted by academia’s constant demands. You want space to think, but not perform.
The Creative Who’s Redefining Their Practice
You don’t want to fit into anyone’s framework. You want to write, gather, reflect, and build on your terms, in a community that values your authenticity.
The Dreamer Who’s Ready to Imagine More
You’re holding big visions, even if they’re still unnamed. You’re seeking a space that’s soft enough to hold your becoming, and solid enough to support your truth.

Dreaming. Knowing. Being.
Together, Dreaming, Knowing, and Being are not abstract ideas; they are everyday practices for Black girls, women, and femmes. They guide how we write, share knowledge, care for ourselves, and build community.

You Don’t Have to Perform to Be in the Room
Whether you’re showing up full of questions, ready to create and write, or want to be in a space that gets it, you belong here. The work we do centers Black women and femmes in all their complexity, exhaustion, brilliance, and becoming.
This is your invitation to stay, to slow down, and to be held differently.
